THE ASK

PharmaCare provides front and back end technology solutions for retail pharmacies; proving both hardware and software for prescription filling, interaction notification, inventory and accounting. The audience are independent pharmacists store owners across Canada. They are in need of a brochure for an upcoming industry trade show. The purpose of the brochure is to get the attention of pharmacists and store owners as they are traveling through the trade show and deliver the PharmaCare message of innovation and partnership.

THE APPROACH

The design focuses on the message and mood of innovation and partnership. Utilizing shapes, line, colour, and layout to support and reinforce this message. The layout focuses on a central hexagon placing importance on partnerships. The hexagon overlaps a diagonal rectangle creating proximity as well as two dynamic triangles on either side of the shape. This supports and reinforces the message of innovation as well as creates balance in the design. The design is grounded which represents the stability that these relationships establish. The imagery chosen in the design is relevant to pharmacists and their daily job roles creating an obvious relationship to pharmacy, applying to the target audience. The imagery focuses on relevant shapes such as circles and ovals which reinforce the message of partnership, while the diagonal lines created by the test tubes and technology represent change and movement reinforcing the message of innovation.
